We are seeking a motivated Sales Application Engineer to join our Internal Sales team. In this role, you will be supporting the Market Managers, Sales Engineers, and International Sales Channels by sharing technical product knowledge, whilst also being responsible for technical drawings and costings for engineered NSMTO (non standard made to order) solutions. 
The successful candidate will produce innovative designs, quality improvements, cost reductions, and lead time reductions in standard and application specific products.
Key ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate strong commercial awareness when quoting NSMTO projects.Use and understand multiple systems and applications such SAP, OLC, SharePoint etc.Support Sales Engineers during order entry and communications with customers.Identify underperforming areas, provide suggestions and implement action plans for improvement.Work with the Engineering team and stay up-to-date with industry trends and product advancements to effectively communicate benefits and features to clients.Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points.Build strong relationships with MO channels through regular communication and close collaboration.Work closely with colleagues in the wider organisation to secure an end-end focus on customer needs and satisfaction.Confidence in visiting customers and working with the Sales team to secure new business.What You Need to SucceedMinimum HND Level (Level 5) qualification in Engineering or equivalent.Minimum 3 years’ engineering, manufacturing and/or technical sales background.Strong knowledge of R&D, Design Engineering, Commercial and PLM Business Functions and associated processes.Experience in project management, problem solving and reporting.Self-motivated team player who is results orientated.Ability to successfully work under tight project deadlines and motivate/influence others to do the same.Confident on MS Outlook and SAP.Autodesk Inventor and Team Centre experience is desirable. Our Offer to YouCompetitive salaryAnnual bonus schemeHybrid working options26 days holiday plus public holidaysHoliday accrual scheme (earn up to 8 extra days holiday per year)4x salary life assurance24/7 access to free and confidential Employee Assistance Programme to support mental health and wellbeingCompany social eventsOpportunities for training and developmentAbout Mettler ToledoMETTLER TOLEDO is a global leader in precision instruments and services.
