Sales Area Manager
First Bank & Trust, a division of UMB Bank n.a. The **Area Sales Manager** is responsible for optimizing branch performance within a designated sales area. This role encompasses delivering exceptional customer service, cultivating a strong sales culture, achieving sales growth targets, and ensuring operational excellence. Additionally, this role is responsible for generating referrals for various banking services to meet customers' financial needs. The Sales Area Manager oversees inside and outside sales production, building new business relationships through community involvement, and providing an outstanding customer experience by addressing all customer requirements. **How you will spend your time:** • Foster a proactive sales culture within the banking center, maximizing cross-selling opportunities and meeting customer needs. • Promote accountability, continuous improvement, and positive change through individual and team coaching. • Oversee small business development and production. • Deliver an exceptional customer experience, whether handling transactions at the teller line or assisting with account-related tasks. • Develop strong relationships and establish a leadership presence within the local market. • Actively engage in community leadership, building networks among Centers of Influence, community leaders, and business groups. • Collaborate with Commercial, Business Banking, Mortgage, Wealth Management, and Financial Consulting to cross-sell products and services. • Ensure all marketing materials are up-to-date and readily available for the sales team. • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of compliance laws and regulations, including BSA/AML/OFAC/CRA and consumer compliance. • Lead the customer experience strategy to ensure consistent, positive interactions at banking centers. • Regularly visits each banking center within your sales area, cultivating high-quality relationships with the sales team. • Focuse on P&L activities to align with organizational goals and redirect efforts as needed. • Other duties as assigned. **We’re excited to talk with you if you have:** + Bachelors in Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Finance, Marketing or equivalent experience required. + 3+ years previous sales and customer service experience + Excellent sales and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to expand and deepen customer relationships. + Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills + Knowledge of banking regulations, including the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (S.A.F.E. Act). + Highly ethical and able to maintain strict confidentiality in handling sensitive customer and bank information. + Self-motivated and results-driven, with a commitment to meeting and exceeding sales goals. + Ability to work collaboratively within a team and as a liaison to other internal departments. **Compensation Range:** $76,520.00 - $163,900.00 _The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
