FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

KTVU FOX 2 is seeking a Sales Assistant who is equal parts personable, detail oriented, and self-motivated with a desire to be part of the station’s best in class team! We are searching for an experienced Sales Assistant who can provide various support functions to our sales team, while actively developing new skills that will allow for greater involvement in all campaign management facets. Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist sales staff and management with the handling of client orders, sales presentation and client requests by performing the following duties:

• Accurately enter orders, revisions, and makegoods.

• Process and create orders within the Wide Orbit system.

• Serve as the liaison between Account Executives and Sales Management.

• Alert the appropriate Account Executive or Sales Manager of new and pending orders as needed.

• Answer primary and secondary phone assignments.

• Communicate and handle requests from FTS National Sales offices.

• Assist with traffic and copy request.

• Investigate and handle invoice discrepancies.

• Confirm new and revised national orders.

• Notify Account Executives of makegood offers, pre-empts, corrections to orders and late run notices.

• Timeliness and Regular attendance.

• Completes competitive spending checks as needed and monitor high profile events.

• Assist with sales presentations and help maintain various tracking mechanisms used by the sales team to organize sales activities.

• Provide proof of performance documents and images as requested.

• Possess system knowledge of Wide Orbit.

• Demonstrate responsibility for any and all equipment issued by FOX.

• Comply with all Fox computer requirements – myfoxpay, Navigator training, password protection, computer usage, etc.

• Comply with all Fox and Station policies – Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption, Insider Trading, etc.

• Duties as assigned.

• Interact with other departments in a positive, professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Minimum three years’ experience and/or training in a similar role.  High proficiency with Microsoft office products.  Wide Orbit experience preferred but not required.  Detail oriented and able to execute instructions with no mistakes made.  Experience with streaming products preferred but not required.  Able to effectively learn new concepts and workflows in order to function efficiently within a fast paced and highly collaborative environment.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $22.00-24.16 per hour for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
