WGN-TV a leading broadcast television station, is seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Sales Assistant to support our sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for entering broadcast and digital advertising orders, assisting with make goods, and billing discrepancies, and managing FCC filings. The Sales Assistant is also responsible for performing all clerical functions required by department personnel as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Order Entry:
Accurately enter broadcast and digital advertising orders into the sales system.Ensure all order details are correct and align with client agreements and station policies.FCC Filings:
Handle the filing of political documents on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website.Ensure all filings are completed accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining compliance with FCC regulations.Requirements & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.Previous experience in a similar role within a broadcasting or media environment is a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Opportunities for professional growth and development.A supportive and dynamic work environment.#LI-Onsite
Compensation:
$22 to $30 per hour - commensurate with applicant's experience and skill level
