Sales Assistant
**Now Hiring: Sales Assistant - $21/hr** **Job Status: Contract to Hire** **Position Details:** + **Pay Rate:** $21/hour + **Schedule:** Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM + **Location:** Honolulu, HI **Reports To:** Assistant Manager or Manager **Key Responsibilities** + **Communication:** Keep the Manager updated on sales-related matters utilizing diverse communication methods (email, phone calls, and in-person meetings). + **Reporting:** Prepare periodic reports detailing project information, including sales volume, potential sales, and status of active pursuits. + **Customer Service:** Ensure excellent customer service by greeting and assisting contacts, and maintaining outstanding product knowledge. + **Order Processing:** Review and process customer orders through the order processing system. + **Inquiry Response:** Handle broker inquiries regarding unit prices, inventory, shipping dates, and delays, and direct them to the appropriate personnel if needed. + **Inventory Management:** Communicate with internal and external sources to determine the availability of requested merchandise. + **Record Maintenance:** Organize and file relevant records such as orders, vendor communication, and commission information. + **Cross-Functional Communication:** Collaborate with internal employees involved in the project to share information effectively. + **Shipping Schedule Monitoring:** Update and ensure shipping schedules meet customer requirements. + **Registration Activities:** Handle daily registration tasks like printing invoices, matching purchase orders, checking payments, mailing invoices, and filing documents. + **Commission Calculation:** Gather information for broker commission calculations and create payment orders. + **Product Information:** Provide brokers with product information, including pricing, delivery, inventory, and value-added product details. **Experience/ Training/ Education** + **Minimum Experience:** 4 years of sales support experience. + Familiarity with office methods, practices, and equipment. + Understanding of sales and cold-calling methods. + Knowledge of marketing strategies and sales techniques. + Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. + Ability to collaborate with various internal and external personnel. + Strong customer service mindset. + Problem-solving and organizational skills. + Professional and courteous telephone manner. + Ability to guide and assist less experienced team members. + Fluency in English (written and verbal).
