Sales Assistant
Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Sales Assistant in the Parsippany, New Jersey area. This role is in the sales industry and is primarily office-based. The Sales Assistant will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including customer service, administrative duties, and support for Sales Representatives. Responsibilities: • Efficiently handle incoming calls and assist customers with their inquiries and orders. • Manage the finalization of drivers' schedules from the previous day. • Draft contracts for container customers using an existing template and email them to the respective customers. • Respond to customer contact forms received via email or phone. • Maintain an organized filing system by creating labels and folders for filing and ensuring all receipts and invoices are properly filed. • Scan and distribute orders to the appropriate parties as necessary. • Conduct follow-ups with customers whose containers are overdue for return. • Provide back-office support for Sales Representatives, including assisting with sales or part of a sale as needed. • Assist at the drive-up window when customers arrive at the yard, and type up the schedule for the drivers as needed. Requirements • Applicant must possess at least 1 year of experience in a sales position. • Proficient in business sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets. • Experience in initiating and managing calls for bids. • Strong administrative skills, capable of providing top-notch administrative assistance. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances. • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team. • High level of self-motivation and a keen interest in growing within the sales industry. • Proficiency in using sales and customer relationship management software.
