We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Sales Assistant to join the team based in Alexandria on a part-time basis.
You will report to the store manager. Enjoy working in this busy store; love the flexible hours! No previous paint or hardware knowledge is expected, as full product training will be provided on the job. We're looking for someone passionate about customer service and wanting to progress in their career.
ResponsibilitiesProvide outstanding customer service and establish relationships with our customers.Collaborate with the Store Manager, Store team & Trade team to improve sales potential within the store.Tinting and mixing paint, palletizing paint drums, arranging orders for delivery, and colour matching.Deliveries using the Store vehicle (where applicable).Merchandise and replenish stock promptly and ensure it is presented well.Store housekeeping and following the store’s safety standards.Manual Handling - up to 32 kgs.RequirementsPrevious retail assistant experience with the desire to provide excellent customer service to our growing customer base. You won't be afraid to be hands-on daily in the store.Keen to learn new skills and have an invested interest in building your expertise on our products.You will have the flexibility to work on a 25-hour roster (Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM).You will be comfortable with manual handling as part of your normal day. For example - lifting heavy paint tins (up to 32 kgs), pushing and pulling trolleys, using pallet jacks, standing for long periods, kneeling, loading the ute for paint deliveries, and doing the delivery and unloading on the other side.
