Sales Associate
Seeking a Sales Associate in the Grimes Area!! Job Description This position has opened due to the upcoming retirement of a long-standing team member who has been in the business for about 30 years. The ideal candidate will initially start in operations for 3-6 months, transition into the Sales Associate role, and eventually take over for the Sales Manager upon his retirement. The right person will ultimately run operations for the company. We are open to individuals with industry, sales, or management experience and are willing to offer competitive compensation for candidates with relevant experience. Responsibilities + Gain a full understanding of crushing operations at all Recycling sites. + Obtain and maintain AGG1 and other related certifications. + Conduct sales prospecting and sales calls with estimators, engineers, city officials, etc. + Maintain current relationships with influential buyers and establish new customer relationships to achieve sales goals. + Quote projects, project sales, and manage raw material procurement. + Collaborate with engineers and contractors on material approval and material submittals. + Stay informed and involved in upcoming projects in Iowa and the Midwest. + Expand the sales of recycled materials and hauling services. + Work with the Recycling Sales Manager and Operations team to meet sales demand. + Understand competitor capabilities and market share. Essential Skills + Sales experience + Construction sales experience + Account management + Customer Relations Management (CRM) Skills & Qualifications + 3+ years of experience in construction or sales preferred + Experience with Command Alkon preferred + College graduate with internship experience + Experience in concrete, asphalt, paving, ready mix, or aggregate Work Environment This role typically requires 45-55 hours per week, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some weekend work, 52 weeks per year. The office environment is small, with about 35 employees. There is an opportunity for growth, with the starting rate for an entry-level person ranging between $70,000 and $80,000, and potential to earn six figures plus bonuses once trained in sales.
