Sales Associate - Intermediary

**Responsibilities:**
+ Act as a relationship manager responsible for the coverage of intermediary clients in Hong Kong, including retail and private bank distributors;
+ Work closely with the HK Intermediary Sales team in raising assets from the intermediary channels;
+ Take full ownership of the assigned distributor relationships and be able to work independently handling day-to-day client enquiries, completing routine and ad-hoc requests, resolving work issues, and maintaining client database and activity records in Salesforce;
+ Interact and coordinate with regional or global client coverage teams and colleagues of the firm during the sales process;
+ Demonstrate sound knowledge of the firm’s products across different asset classes when dealing with intermediary clients;
+ Understand clients’ investment needs and propose adequate products for them accordingly;
+ Raise awareness for the firm’s investment products through continuous client servicing, roadshows, seminars, presenting at conferences etc.;
+ Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to new business conversion;
+ Identify new distribution opportunities and be able to work with different teams to complete the product on-boarding process;
**Requirements**
+ Ambitious and result driven personality, self-motivated and capable of operating effectively with limited supervision;
+ Sound knowledge of the intermediary distribution landscape and the latest industry developments in the region;
+ Proven track record of working with clients in the intermediary channel in Hong Kong (from gatekeeper/decision-maker level to investment advisers and front line sales (bankers);
+ Good product knowledge across all asset classes;
+ Strong commercial acumen and the ability to build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
+ Native Cantonese speaker with fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin;
+ Excellent presentation skills;
+ 5-7 years of relevant experience in the asset management industry;
+ Prior work experience in Client Service / Sales Support functions may also be considered;
+ University degree in finance or business is a plus.
