Job SummaryUnder very limited supervision, the Regional Sales & Customer Support Manager manages a portfolio of existing accounts and develops new business for the company. Has the ability to interface successfully with customers including, but not limited to, Engine MRO shops, airlines, brokers and Engine OEMs. Assists in the development of sales strategies and growth plans for these customers. Working with leadership and the customer service/ops team to retain the business of existing accounts by communicating account & order status. Acts as the expert for BD initiatives specific to their customers and region.
Makes daily sales contacts with designated customers.
Develops new customers/sales opportunities.
Coordinates technical interfaces when customers require technical service.
Determines a forecast of the customers’ product sales volume, e.g., order requirements for 1-5 years.
Performs a market search for new/used part inventory for sale/replacement on customer orders and makes recommendations on purchases.
Monitors performance of GKN repair shop activities to ensure customer schedules are met as required.
Assists in the collection of customer receivables.
Acts as the in region BD expert for the parts repair business.
Maintains a clean work environment (including assigned storage and cleaning duties in full compliance with company standards, customer and government regulations.
Assists in the development and maintenance of a business culture, which supports the Company's overall business objectives and goals, in issues that involve “cost, quality, process, schedule and people”.
Ensures the company's commitment to maintain a safe workplace and to protect the environment through the establishment and support of Company policy and adherence to various government regulations.
Fully complies with the "GKN Aerospace, Inc. Policy Statement on Contracting with the United States Government" in all areas of responsibility involving direct and indirect contracting with the United States Government.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or additional 4+ years of experience required.
• 5+ years sales/marketing/commercial experience or related experience in an aerospace maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) environment.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to open meetings, define meeting objectives, and retain group focus on objectives.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions.
• Frequent travel to the sites and customer locations. Global travel as required for customer meetings and internal leadership meetings; estimated travel 50%.
• GKN experience preferred.
The Compensation range for this position is between $124,997 - $156,246.
