The team

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Sales Communications Manager to join our small but mighty team of Comms professionals chartered to drive thought leadership, increase executive voice, influence company culture and support business growth. You’ll lead and execute the communication strategy for our global Sales team, a fantastic opportunity to help this critical function stay informed, aligned, motivated and successful in selling the HV portfolio of data infrastructure solutions.

This pivotal role calls for a dynamic individual eager to partner with sales leaders, align communication strategies with business goals, and collaborate across a complex global ecosystem. Our ideal candidate will have a track record in sales communications and programs, and excel in content development, project management, and cross-regional and departmental collaboration to drive business growth.

 

The role

Develop a Communication Strategy: Design and implement comprehensive sales communication strategies to enhance sales effectiveness, align messaging with corporate objectives, and ensure the sales team has the resources needed to succeed.  Ensure alignment and cadence with company internal communications. Content Creation & Management: Create, curate, and manage sales communications materials including emails, presentations, playbooks, case studies, product solutions and services messaging, newsletters, and sales enablement assets. Ensure that content is clear, compelling, and tailored to support the sales process. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product marketing, sales enablement, product and services, and executive teams to align messaging with product and services offerings, market positioning, and strategic goals. Act as a key communication link between sales and marketing. Support Sales Training & Enablement: Partner with the Sales and Partner Enablement teams to communicate the programs, tools, and results to keep the sales team informed of new products, services, and company initiatives. Support product and services launches by communicating relevant sales and partner enablement materials and facilitating effective communication channels. Performance Analytics & Feedback: Monitor and assess the effectiveness of sales communications initiatives, gathering feedback from the sales team and stakeholders to make data-driven improvements. Report on the impact of communication efforts on sales productivity and engagement. Manage Communications Channels: Oversee internal communication channels, including email, intranet, and collaboration platforms, to ensure timely and effective communication with the sales team. Partner with HR and IT to ensure the correct distribution lists and communication operating models are set-up and managed for communication efficiency and effectiveness. 

 

What you’ll bring

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field; advanced degree a plus. 5+ years of experience in sales communications, marketing, or a related role, preferably within a B2B or high-growth environment. Strong understanding of sales processes, sales enablement, and communication best practices. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging content for different audiences. Proven experience managing cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders across departments. Proficiency with CRM and communication platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Slack, Microsoft Teams) is a plus. Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive strategic decisions. As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is:

Tier One Location (including New York City and California Bay Area): $102,300-$175,000

Tier Two Location (including Colorado, Seattle, and the rest of California): $88,900 - $160,000

Tier Three Location (including the rest of Washington State): $71,000 – $146,000

 

The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara’s bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
