PULMONARY SALES CONSULTANT    Open Territory Locations: Charlotte, NC Salt Lake City, UT Upstate NY ABOUT US: Biodesix is a leading diagnostic solutions company with a focus in lung disease. For more information about Biodesix, please visit www.biodesix.com.   OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION: The Pulmonary Sales Consultant (PSC) role is a key position for an experienced professional with a strong background in medical or diagnostic sales. This role is designed for individuals ready to take on significant responsibilities in driving the adoption of Biodesix products and mentoring team members.   The PSC will lead efforts to increase market presence and product adoption in their assigned territory, working directly with physicians and healthcare providers. They will also mentor and guide Associate Sales Consultants (ASCs), fostering their professional development and contributing to the overall success of the sales team.   RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the adoption of Biodesix products by working directly with physicians and healthcare providers in an assigned territory Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive market growth and product adoption Mentor and guide Associate Sales Consultants (ASCs), providing training and support Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, and decision-makers in the pulmonary field Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product improvements and address customer needs Provide exemplary customer service and promptly resolve any issues or concerns Accurately track and report on sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Proven track record of success in medical or diagnostic sales, with demonstrable achievements in exceeding sales targets Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and develop junior team members Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex medical information Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite (SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Valid US driver's license and a driving record in compliance with company standards   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree (advanced degree preferred) 4+ years of successful sales experience, specifically in medical or diagnostic territory sales Sales experience in pulmonary, oncology, or related fields is highly desirable Pharmaceutical sales experience is not preferred for this role   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to use hands to grip, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear The team member frequently is required to sit, walk, and reach with hands and arms; occasionally is required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and must occasionally lift and/or move more than 25 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include visual acuity to Colorado driver’s license requirements   WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions The primary work environment is an office setting The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate UNPLANNED ACTIVITIES: Other duties as assigned TRAVEL PERCENTAGE: Up to 70% travel
