THE JOB: 

The Sales Coordinator will support the Convention Sales Managers at Mandalay Bay by assisting with the sales process, event coordination, and client communications to ensure a seamless experience for both clients and sales teams. This role is essential in maintaining an efficient, organized, and client-centered sales process that upholds the highest standards of customer service and professionalism.  You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING PAY RATE:  $19.00 / Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Prepare and edit correspondences, communications, presentations, contract formatting, redlines, and updating systems to reflect contract terms and negotiated room ratesProcess reservations, expense reports, invoices, billing information for accounting, confirmations, cancellations, special handling alerts, show tickets, dining reservations, and amenities. Amenities could include but are not limited to site inspections, customer event weekends, and VIP staysArrange and coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and meal appointments within the property or outside travelMonitor, screen, respond to, and distribute incoming communications via e-mail and phone in a timely mannerProvide guest service to internal employees, guests, and all customers of MGMRI

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

In-Process or Completed College Education PreferredSix (6) months of previous administrative experienceMust be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidaysBasic knowledge of computer software including Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e., telephone, copier, and fax machineExcellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contactsAble to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
