We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Development Manager to develop customer relationships and grow our Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) sales in the chemical and petrochemical industries. This role requires a deep understanding of industrial automation, motor control applications, and the unique challenges faced by chemical and petrochemical processing plants. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and driving revenue growth within these sectors.
Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting chemical and petrochemical processing companies. Work closely with distribution partners to align strategy and execution models Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within these industries. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including plant managers, engineers, and procurement professionals. Provide technical expertise and consultative solutions to customers on Danfoss VFD applications and benefits. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to tailor solutions to customer needs. Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for customers. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve sales targets and profitability goals. Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape. Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to generate leads and build brand awareness. Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, customer service, and technical support, to ensure a seamless customer experience. Track and report sales activities, forecasts, and performance metrics using CRM tools. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field (preferred). 3+ years of sales experience in industrial automation, VFDs, motor controls, or related equipment. Experience selling into the chemical and petrochemical industries or working with process applications in these sectors. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate complex solutions.
Skills & Competencies:
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
