We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our growing Intellectual Property Sales Team in our Sydney, Australia office. This is an incredible opportunity to join a mission-led and sales-driven Sales Development group covering the APAC region. Reporting directly to the Manager, Sales Development, this role will focus on inbound sales development within an assigned territory and with a particular product focus to drive business. The role will expose you to the exciting world of Intellectual Property where our data, services, and software transform the way our customers create, manage and protect their innovation.

Follow up with outbound prospects via email, telephone calls and LinkedIn to create opportunities for the sales teamQualify inbound leads generated by the marketing department to create opportunities for the sales teamCreate follow-up appointments for the commercial team to advance prospects to the next step in the sales processWork closely with the marketing, commercial, and customer support team to ensure a positive customer experienceUsing a proactive and persistent approach, explain the Clarivate value proposition and product offering to prospects and customersAccurately maintain, develop and update prospect and client data into Salesforce CRM Prospect and generate qualified sales pipeline as assigned by management and/or regional sales directorsAbout the Team
The Sales Development Team collaborates closely with internal teams and external customers. Partly, the team works in an inbounds capacity (Sales Development Representatives) managing inbound leads, as well as in an outbound capacity (Business Development Specialist) developing new leads within their assigned territory and product portfolio.
~70% of your time will be spent working autonomously on your assigned customer-base and ~30% will be spent working collaboratively with the Intellectual Property Sales Team to hand-over relevant opportunity and track your contribution to the global sales pipeline.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.
This is a hybrid position working in the office up to 3 days a week.
