Sales Development Representative- DOD Skillbridge Internship
Overview: The DOD SkillBridge program is an opportunity for active duty service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of military service. SkillBridge connects service members with industry partners in real-world job experiences. For this position, you must be Skillbridge approved through your Command to participate in this 120-day internship. Upon completion of the DOD SkillBridge Internship, the intern will have gained a realistic preview of the role of a Sales Development Representative through job shadowing, mentorship from senior leaders, and hands-on learning. This position will report to the Sales Development organisation and require partnering with all levels of Marketing and Sales – with the ultimate goal of setting up qualified meetings for the sales team which ensures a steady pipeline of new business opportunities. Your primary responsibility will be to establish initial points of contact with prospective and or current customers. We have openings across multiple product lines. As a Sales Development Representative you’ll have the chance to help us increase our market share and expand our existing client base. This Program will be a 120-day internship, a total of four months or 16 weeks, during which the Intern will be trained on the core competencies and responsibilities of a Sales Development Representative at Cvent. Upon successful completion of the program, Interns will have a good understanding of: Product Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Cvent’s products or services, how they work, and their value propositions Ability to explain product features and benefits effectively to potential customers Sales Techniques: Familiarity with different sales skills including qualification and objection handling Understanding of lead generation, prospecting, and multi-channel outreach techniques (phone, email, social media).
