Location/Division Specific Information­­

Our Materials and Structural Analysis business helps customers drive ground breaking research and discoveries by delivering innovative microscopy, spectroscopy and microanalysis solutions, such as elite scanning and transmission electron microscopes, DualBeam™ FIB-SEMs, and spectrometers, combined with sophisticated software suites. We span across the business areas of spectroscopy, visualization software, semiconductor, life sciences, and material sciences, as well as global support functions like commercial sales, service, operations, research and development, advanced technologies and marketing.

The Position is based remotely anywhere in Germany and will Cover Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

How will you make an impact?

As a Sales Development Representative (m/f/d), you will support the growth of the Electron Microscopy business within the Materials and Structural Analysis Division, by driving market shares through lead generation and qualification. Intellectual curiosity and passion will provide the opportunity to grow within team, both regionally and globally, as well as across the Thermo Fisher organization.

What you will do:Grow market share in industry with a primary focus on SEM in the German/Austria Industry region.Prospect for new leads in new and/or existing accounts and market segmentsAttend Industry focused events across EMEA to generate new leadsEstablish and manage relationships with new customersNurture relationships with new customers and engage with the sales team once the lead becomes an opportunityExplain how our solution meets customer needs which will require extensive research with potential and existing customersLead specific campaign roll-outs within the teamCoordinate workshops and site visits targeting new customersAnalyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive strategy, and find opportunities for growing customer and business value through product positioning and differentiation.Work closely with the Industry account managers to gain business by providing unique sales strategies & value propositions, especially with high value and complex dealsTimely feedback product marketing management about market trends and competitive updates

How you will get here

The Sales Developer will be responsible for building and contributing towards the growth of the pipeline for the Industry segment within the Material Science Electron Microscopy division. You will help to increase our market share across EMEA by generating and qualifying leads and building relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in these segments.

Education

Masters in physical or life sciences, material sciences, or engineering, and 1 – 3 years of professional experience in a commercial environment will be considered

Experience

Proven expertise with Scanning Electron MicroscopySome sales experience would be preferable but not crucialIdentifying creative and innovative solutionsConsistent and proven record of delivering/exceeding quotas.Track record in delivering results and holding self-accountableDemonstrates solution expertise and focus on value creation

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Proficient in German, with a good understanding of EnglishAbility to generate pipeline and business opportunity leadsAbility to increase our market share by generating new business leadsCollaborate with, and nurture positive relationships with, multi-national and cross-functional matrix teamsMeeting or exceeding lead generation and opportunity targets within specific segmentsWork remotely, to flexible patterns, and with the ability to travel up to 25% or more.Confident in public speaking and client settings.Clear and open communication skills.Ability to discuss benefits of electron microscopy in newcomer’s termsEnthusiastic and drivenClear organization skillsDoor openerProactive self-starterUnderstanding of Sales Development and Industrial Markets
