IDD-Parts is a fast growing, international organization that supplies spare parts for the repair, service and maintenance of many brands of industrial and residential sectional overhead doors, high speed doors, docking systems and pedestrian doors. This includes panels, springs, motors, cables, hinges, rollers, etc. We currently serve the European market from our facilities in the Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom and France. Additionally, sales are done out of Poland, Sweden and Italy. To help us to achieve our ambitions to become a clear EMEA market leader in supplying spare parts, we are looking for a Sales Director.
IDD-Parts is part of Sectional Doors & Components (SDC), part of the business segment Industrial within ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems.
In this position you will be a member of the Management Team of IDD-Parts and you report to the General Manager IDD-Parts. In this position you will be based in Barneveld, Netherlands.
What you will be doing
As Sales Director you will be accountable for the management and coordination of the overall sales in IDD-Parts and responsible for setting the sales strategy, sales teams/processes and achieving sales revenue targets across all sales channels.
Your key responsibilities are:
Creating and executing the sales strategy for IDD-Parts within the guidelines of ASSA ABLOY. Developing mid to long-term (3-5 years) plans for optimizing the sales organization, function, or sub-function and the talent required to execute strategies in job area. Establishes and implements strategies that have mid to long-term (3-5 years) impact on business results in alignment with parent/independent organization objectives. Responsible for sales, driving large accounts and setting strategic client clans, sales training, sales operations/administration (i.e. commercial target setting), price management (setting prices). Ensure that the sales team manages and develops close relationships with the customer base in order to achieve annual targets. Personally overseas sales activity within pre-defined house/key accounts. Undertake various sales activities within the international sales territory, including planning regular meetings with key accounts, OEM’S, distributors and other customers to maintain and grow sales. Sales delivery and planning – Work with the General Manager IDD-Parts and Product Development to build segment strategy. Manage and report on local country/territory performance against plans and targets / budgets. Leading and coordinating the efforts of a team of executives with a focus on strategy development. Assessing and reporting on sales performance and developing sales strategies for improvement. Managing a team of sales employees and have recruitment, hiring and firing responsibilities. Ensure the development of individuals within the organization and monitors training needs. Coach and motivate people to allow them to achieve both organizational and individual objectives.
What we are looking for
Frontline sales capability in a technical B to B environment. Understand the dynamics of working in an international organization. People Management. Willingness to travel and work in international setting. Demonstrated knowledge of market and competitive environment. Experience in developing and implementing strategic business plans. Strong technical aptitude and able to convey and understand technical concepts.
Furthermore:
5-8 years of experience in a similar role. Completed Bachelor level education Business Economics, Business Management or similar (MBA). Excellent written and spoken skills in English. Excellent skills in Microsoft Office/Excel, experienced ERP user.
