Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented **Sales Engineer, Automation** in a **remote** role.
What you will do:
+ Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets by driving consultative, solutions-based automation sales.
+ Lead pre-sales activities, including qualification calls, site visits, gathering application requirements, proposal development, and financial presentations.
+ Educate and support dealer sales teams to identify, qualify, and promote automation opportunities.
+ Develop new business opportunities by building strong customer relationships and participating in marketing events, trade shows, and industry conferences.
+ Accurately forecast orders, maintain CRM updates, and provide timely reporting for business planning.
+ Stay current on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive solutions to drive continuous process improvement.

What you will need:
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Automation). Equivalent experience will be considered.
+ Experience: 5-7+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years without a degree.
Skills, Experience & Abilities
+ Technical Solution Sales: 2-5 years of experience delivering technical solutions to customers.
+ Automation Background: 2-4 years of experience in automation, robotics, or AGV/AMR systems preferred.
+ Customer-Facing Experience: Minimum of 2 years engaging with end users or leading project-related discussions.
+ Programming Understanding: Familiarity with programming concepts through education or relevant professional experience.
+ Process Improvement: 1-2 years of experience analyzing workflows in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
+ Time Management & Travel: Proven ability to manage time effectively while covering a multi-state territory (2+ years of travel experience).
