About the role:
The Sales Engineer is responsible for growth and expansion of direct sales and profit margins within the assigned accounts and/or territory/region on products or services. Establishes professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts. Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars.
This position is part of the Videojet’s North America Commercial Organization, will be remote and will be covering the Minneapolis and surrounding areas.
In this role, you will:
Promote the value of Videojet coding, marking and imaging products and services to the customers within the specified geographic territory with the goal of enhancing sales growing revenue and market penetration.Understand Videojet's value proposition and ability to access decision makers, assess their needs and provide winning value propositions, negotiating deals and achieving an outcome that is financially positive to Videojet while satisfying the customer’s needs and positioning us for future businessDevelop and share customer and market trends and competitive intelligence with counterparts (marketing, research, technical service, customer service, supply chain, etc.) to promote increased market knowledge and capitalize on potential opportunities to increase revenue and/or profitability.Develop appropriate sales volume, pricing and standard margin forecasts and capitalize on/compensate for market changes via price changes or share gain.Build strong, long-term customer relationships, based on value, which will help contribute to Videojet's continued industry leadership position and strong financial performance.Conduct revenue generating activities in the specified sales territory. Doing this in a sustainable, resource efficient way is a source of competitive advantage for Videojet vs its competitors.Prioritize opportunities for equipment sales growth and the specific actions required to capture them, Including the ability to do product demonstrations.Improve sales efficiency and effectiveness through the thorough use of sales tools such as "sales funnels" and "return on investment-based selling"Ability to work with large/multi-layer corporations, and stay on top of long sales cycle of multiple projects whose requirements often change over time and dealing with supplier contracts/agreementsAre you qualified?
Bachelor's Degree Required, preferably in a Technical or Business field3 - 6 years of experience with a proven track record of capital equipment sales. Direct sales experience in the ink jet product coding industry or Sales of packaging line related equipment would be an asset.Sufficient technical ability to understand the key operating principles of a wide array of various printing or identification technologies and the skills to propose multi-product integrated solutions that address customer specific needsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to travel 40% of the timeExperience with SFDC/CPQ and Strategic Selling skills would be a plusOur Benefits:

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
