What You Will Do
As our Sales Engineer, you'll have the exciting role of proactively identifying and supporting opportunities to grow our Trimble Field Systems products and services.
You’ll work closely with distributor management and sales teams, providing them with product and solution training, assisting with demonstrations, and offering pre-sale support with your technical expertise and consultative advice.
You'll also play an active role in new product releases, beta cycles, and tackling complex product performance issues. Additionally, you'll provide insights on competitive products and evaluate market potential across all served markets and solutions.
We are expecting you to engage all the field systems technologies, namely but not limited to, Survey and Mapping technologies, Building Construction technologies and Civil Construction technologies. Your assignment may expand as your role develops.
What You’ll Be Doing
Optimize performance of dealer network to ensure Trimble’s strategies are being successfully implemented
Contribute to sustainable financial results
Be an integral team member to support the overall success of Trimble
Working with dealer network to achieve short, mid and long-term objectives
Actively participate in resolving highly complex and technically challenging product performance issues
Assistance in key customer engagement, demonstrations and presentations
Train the dealers sales and technical staff to be proficient in the sales, installation and support of the required product portfolios.
Participation and assistance in trade shows, road shows and user group events
Develop local partner sales and technical support personnel competency to demonstrate, sell and support new technology products. This includes facilitating, assistance in preparation of tender documents and specifications
Recommendations as needed on product configurations, part numbers, and options as
required to suit customer needs and applications.
Maintain up-to-date skills and knowledge on the latest Trimble technology; proactively seek out training to ensure "early adopter" knowledge.
Be current on competitive offerings (features, benefits and customer interest in these products) in the region, report information internally together with recommendations as required. Keep current on macro and microeconomic trends in the market that will impact short and long-term performance.
Respond to escalated technical issues from dealers about key or priority customers to ensure sales closure.
Participate in quarterly reports, weekly forecasting, and business update meetings.
In charge of Survey & Mapping, Building Construction Field Systems, and Civil Construction Field Systems products and customers.
The territory is Japan. However, the company may offer the job outside of the original territory.
What Skills & Experience You Could Bring
First and foremost we are looking for someone who is a self starter, highly motivated, has a passion for the value our products can add to industry and for exceeding customer expectations, all with significant autonomy.
Strong aptitude in geospatial and survey techniques with demonstrated technical capability in surveying equipment, GIS, data processing
Competent understanding of construction survey methodologies, tools and software.
Excellent customer interaction experience within the construction environment.
Fundamental selling skills.
Sound listener to diverse audiences.
Sense of urgency and drive, highly motivated.
The drive, passion and work ethic that will allow you to succeed in a very autonomous environment.
A team player who is solution driven with the ability to multitask effectively. Ability to make sound decisions based on customer needs and technical knowledge. Ability to prioritize competing tasks.
Good command of English written and oral are essential.
