Sales Engineer

We are looking for two Sales Engineers to join our Sales Support team in Marine. In this role, you will take responsibility on a project-by-project basis for Sales Engineering primarily related to SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) products and Power Supply products within the Marin, Sales Engineering team.

 

The preferred location for this position is STH (Sustainable Technology Hub) in Vaasa, Finland.
  
Your role and responsibilities
 
As a Sales Engineer, your work will include Providing sales offerings of Marine Power, including providing technical and commercial documentation for solution proposals based on customer requirements. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working as a part of our Sales Support in Marine, Power Supply team with diverse expertise.
 
Main tasks: 

 

Providing technical support in the sales phase and supporting the Sales teams Provide Commercial support including pricing, providing value propositions, ensuring contractual terms and meeting deadlines Ensure a smooth handover from the sales department to the Projects and Engineering group Providing content and scope of supply for a proposal quotation, based on discussions with the network office and/or customers Focusing on both larger strategic projects with special requirements and standard projects with simplified NSR’s Participating in technical and commercial negotiations

 
Qualifications: 
 

You preferably hold a master's or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Shipbuilding, or equivalent A good understanding of Wärtsilä products and solutions You are customer-oriented and eager to learn more You have a “doer” attitude with strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written You are able to work on several projects simultaneously and meet deadlines set by the Sales team You can work independently as well as part of a team Awareness and understanding of cultural differences Experience working in the marine industry is beneficial, however not required
