Job Title: Sales Engineer – Mold Manufacturing (Automotive Industry)

Location: Remote with periodic office visits (preferably near major automotive hubs, e.g., Detroit)

Compensation: Total package up to $150,000 (base + commission) | Car allowance | Health benefits | 401K | Expense reimbursement

Company Overview:

A well-established mold manufacturing company serving the automotive industry, with additional work in defense and consumer products. The company specializes in both domestic tool-making and integrates tools from China. Over the last decade, revenue has significantly declined and they are looking for an experienced sales engineer to drive growth back to their peak.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Engineer with deep industry knowledge and an existing book of business to immediately impact revenue. This individual must have strong automotive industry connections, experience selling molds, and the ability to hit the ground running without a long ramp-up period.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive mold sales growth, targeting OEMs and Tier 2/Tier 3 suppliers in the automotive sector. Leverage industry contacts and actively pursue new business opportunities. Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals, with cycles ranging from 3 months to 3 years. Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met. Travel as needed to engage clients, with flexibility to work from home.

Qualifications:

Proven track record in sales within the mold/tooling industry, preferably automotive. Established industry contacts and a book of business that can generate immediate revenue. Strong understanding of both domestic and China-sourced tooling. Ability to work independently and execute a strategic sales plan. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing preferred.
