Sales Engineer - Food Retail Line (Remote)
Job Description

Danfoss Climate Solutions is growing, and we are looking for creative and driven sales professionals looking for a career change, a few years into your professional life exploring new options, or recent graduates to sell our innovative, energy-efficient heating and cooling solutions enabling a decarbonized, digital, and more sustainable tomorrow—across industrial applications, buildings, infrastructure, and the entire food and cold chain.   


The qualified Sales Engineer will be responsible for growing sales, and market share, by leveraging existing relationships and prospecting new customer partners in the Canadian market.  The Sales Engineer will have end-to-end responsibility for sales pursuits utilize strong technical expertise to identify and cultivate potential clients, provide in-depth product demonstrations, design customized solutions to meet customer needs, and build strong relationships while acting as a technical liaison between business development and engineering teams, all to achieve sales targets.   This can be a remote position for someone living in Eastern Canada or working out of Oakville, Ontario office.  

Job Responsibilities

Market Analysis and Prospecting

Conducting market research to identify potential clients, and understanding their technical needs and pain points to generate qualified leads. 

Technical Expertise:

Possessing a deep knowledge of Danfoss products and solutions, including features, applications, and technical specifications to effectively present and communicate our value proposition. 

Solution Design:

Developing package customized solutions for clients by analyzing their requirements, configuring products, and proposing tailored technical designs. 

Customer Presentations and Demos:

Delivering compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients, highlighting the benefits and value proposition of Danfoss offerings. 

Relationship Building:

Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers at client companies to foster long-term business partnerships. 

Post-Sales Support:

Providing technical assistance to clients after the sale, including installation, training, and troubleshooting support. Background & Skills

Required Skills and Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
•    Proven experience in technical sales within the Canadian market
•    Strong understanding of engineering principles and industry standards
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences
•    Ability to build rapport and manage customer relationships
•    Proficient in CRM systems and sales tools
•    Fluency in both English and French (depending on the region)
•    Ability to travel up to 40%
