Why this role?
The Modernization Sales Engineer is the business owner of the Modernization sales approach in a frontline. He/she identifies, evaluates, and pursues business development opportunities with the objective of positioning KONE competitively in the market according to the organization’s short and long-term business goals. In addition, he/she ensures the successful implementation of sales process and business improvements.
What will you be doing?
Sales Development
Leads rollout of KONE Way sales programs (e.g. Sales Management refresh, LIS lead creation, Smart LIO)
Manages improvements in business processes to contribute to the business goals
Collects feedback and competitor data from his/her market and gives feedback to the business line, solution creation and product life cycle management
Analyzing internal and external data for sales planning and ensures completion of high quality sales plans
Develops marketing activities and campaigns with marketing team
Follow and ensure the progress and speed of development actions/projects are well defined and measured
Offering management
Manages and drives the local product offering, scope and roadmap
Participates in global product offering management within the guidelines of global roadmap
Participates in sales target identification and in defining new target markets and customers.
Manages demand planning and forecasting from frontlines to supply lines
Maintains product data, sales and tendering tools and pricing guidelines, implements new releases
Manages implementation, ramp-up and ramp-downs products and releases
Follows up and take corrective actions on product performance and quality
Suggests and maintains price lists and changes with sales managers
Supervises quality feedback and customer complaints
Collects feedback and competitor data from his/her market and gives feedback to the business line, solution creation and product life cycle management
Transfers information and knowledge of his/her offering range between KONE product specialists and his/her FL
Communicates with authorities, business and professional associations and other related influencers to influence standards and codes, and to promote KONE solutions
Defines local product offerings with key stakeholders
Are you the one?
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil)
Knowledge of HVAC, building automation system, data center, system integration and/or access control or experience from elevator business (either or option at least one)
1-5 years years experience in Sales engineering for Mechanical Or electrical engineering
If no sales experienced, at least 3-5 years should been working in Mechanical Or electrical engineering
Strong connection with developers, owners, consultant or contractors.
Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a drive to exceed targets
Knowledge of product life-cycle management and methodology plus tools in general
Basic selling, marketing and customer relationship management knowledge
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Fluent in English
Experience in construction or relevant other B2B environment
