Sales Engineer - SEL Panels

As a Sales Engineer – SEL Panels, a typical day might include the following  

Manage and develop relationships with internal and external SEL customers.Understand the true requirements and objectives of customers.  Determine, communicate and deliver the optimal SEL solution that best meets their needs.Build and maintain knowledge of all SEL products with a focus on Panel, enclosure, and retrofit solutions. Facilitate and advise on optimal SEL product integration and retrofit solutions to be built within the SEL Panel factories.Teach and consult with internal and external customers to achieve optimal SEL content and integration with 3rd party devices and components.Initiate, track, and facilitate proposals for SEL Engineering Services panel projects. Facilitate order entry of Panel projects to the SEL Panel factories.Work collaboratively to understand design needs and constraints to optimize product utilization in Panel projects.  Drive the resolution of issues, delays, and roadblocks to assure on time delivery and optimal customer satisfaction of SEL Panel assemblies.Liaise between SEL factories, Engineering Services, Sales Representatives, Sales and Customer Service, customers, and external parties to facilitate commercial relationships and efficient defect free delivery of SEL panel assemblies.Utilize business tools to maintain customer relationship information, opportunity tracking and sales activities.

A B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, a related engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in technical sales2 or more years of experience in an electrical engineering, or technical sales environmentDemonstrated success working in a customer facing roleAbility to travel 25-30% of the timeEffective and engaging communication skillsAbility to skillfully manage price and commercial negotiations with the support and guidance of senior team membersAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilitiesAbility to work cooperatively in a team environmentUtility, industrial, or manufacturing industry experience (preferred)Experience with electrical relay panels or enclosures (preferred)

Salary Information

$78,000 - $120,000 per year. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
