**POSITION SUMMARY**
As the Sales Executive of The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne, you will be responsible for managing and growing our luxury sales accounts within a fast-paced, high-end environment. This role involves proactive solicitation, managing group and catering opportunities, and securing business through effective negotiation and creative selling strategies. You will work closely with the sales team to achieve revenue goals and contribute to the overall success of the property. The ideal candidate will be focused on delivering service excellence and creating unique, memorable experiences for our guests, all while contributing to the achievement of key performance indicators and sales objectives.
**Candidate Background / Experience:**
+ A relevant University degree and/or 3+ years of sales experience in the luxury hospitality industry or a similar high-end service environment.
+ Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
+ Demonstrated experience with business development, sales negotiation, and closing deals.
+ Knowledge of the luxury hospitality industry and market trends.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team while driving individual sales goals.
+ Prior experience in handling corporate accounts, group bookings, or events is an advantage.
+ Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
+ A passion for delivering exceptional service and creating unforgettable guest experiences.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Proactively solicit, manage, and close group and catering sales opportunities to maximize revenue potential.
+ Drive sales growth by effectively managing client relationships and maximizing business from your assigned accounts.
+ Contribute to the overall sales strategy, working closely with the Director of Sales to develop and implement annual strategies for your account portfolio.
+ Manage and negotiate client RFPs, contracts, and group bookings within the corporate market segment.
+ Understand market trends, competitor strengths, and weaknesses to set strategies that increase market share.
+ Represent The Ritz-Carlton brand at industry functions, trade shows, and client meetings, ensuring the property remains top-of-mind for potential business opportunities.
+ Collaborate with Marriott International Global Sales Teams to develop client relationships and drive revenue.
+ Deliver high-level service to clients, responding to inquiries and requests in a timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all stages of the sales process.
+ Work toward achieving personal and team sales goals and KPIs, actively contributing to overall property success.
