Due to continued growth, we are actively looking for a Sales Executive to join our team in Plantsville, CT. Job Responsibilities: + Proactively Hunt for Opportunities: Identify and pursue new opportunities to install or upgrade fire alarm systems across various sectors. + Build Strategic Relationships: Develop and strengthen partnerships with electrical contractors and establish direct connections with end users to secure new projects. + Bid Development: Lead the preparation and presentation of competitive bids for “parts & smarts” fire alarm work, including performing detailed "take offs" on plans to ensure accuracy. + Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of fire alarm projects from concept to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and financial targets are achieved. + Compliance and Standards: Ensure all projects meet relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA 72) and align with client specifications. + Collaborate Across Teams: Coordinate with design, engineering, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution. + Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for both electrical contractors and end users, ensuring clear communication and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. + Performance Tracking: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, project pipelines, and financial performance to report to the A&D Department Leader. + Other Responsibilities: Perform additional tasks as needed to support department and branch success. Qualifications & Licenses: + Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire alarm sales and project management, with a proven track record of success in a "Hunter"-style sales environment. + Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or greater is a plus. + Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to independently generate and close new business opportunities in a competitive market. + Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, codes, and standards, including NFPA 72. Experience with "parts & smarts" bidding and performing "take offs" on plans is essential. + Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage clients and internal teams. + Relationship Building: Proven success in developing and maintaining strong relationships with both electrical contractors and end users. + Self-Motivation: A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the drive to meet and exceed sales targets. + Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver’s license is required. Holding a CT "L6" Electrical License or above is REQUIRED. Success Measurables: + Revenue Booked: Achieve or exceed sales targets aligned with branch goals. + Project Margin Execution: Deliver projects on time and within budget, meeting branch margin expectations.
