About the Role - 

As Instacart continues its rapid expansion, we are looking to add additional Sales Executives to our Brand Partnerships team. Sales Executives will be responsible for managing a book of business composed of both active and inactive brand partners. Sales Executives are the main point of contact for their assigned brands and own all aspects of the advertising relationship.

Our Canadian Brand Partnerships team, while the newest, has firmly established itself since launching three years ago and continues to experience rapid growth. As Instacart’s first international ad sales team, we are expanding the Canadian business from the ground up, capitalizing on the deep expertise and continuous innovation of North America’s largest online grocery marketplace. We thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, working through ambiguity to deliver results on behalf of our Canadian CPG partners.  

 

 

About the Job 

Build and maintain relationships with a book of actively advertising emerging brands Prospect new advertisers to the platform, assisting with campaign creation, launch and renewal Maintain a high daily volume of activity including outbound calls, emails, and social selling in a transactional environment Reach and exceed KPIs including revenue, activations, and retained advertisers Act as a primary point of escalation for technical issues Generate weekly campaign reports and monthly / quarterly reviews Support the launch of new programs and features Support product teams in determining the right priorities for product improvements to help scale ad products for small to medium sized businesses Develop data driven sales collateral, case studies, and custom ‘stories’ to translate benefits of Instacart’s platform to CPG advertisers business needs Leverage prior experience or interest in the intersection of CPG, Digital, & Sales to drive meaningful growth Focused on growing your skills and having a meaningful impact on an important component to Instacart’s success and growth

 

 

About You

Minimum Qualifications

3-5+ years experience in a sales environment  1+ years experience in digital advertising  Experience in managing client relationships, and partnering to drive measurable growth Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and take initiative in a high paced environment Proven ability to prioritize outreach and close sales opportunities High attention to detail with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills Metrics orientated with the ability to understand and effectively story tell with retail and digital ads metrics Client service orientation - fast follow ups, a strong sense of ownership A collaborative team player who is comfortable working with multiple cross functional stakeholders to unlock new opportunities Familiarity with tools of the trade (eg. Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Google Drive) Experience with large data sets and ability to extract business insights from analysis (Experience with Tableau preferred)

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of paid search, CPG or e-commerce Comfortable analyzing and speaking to CPG and advertising insights and KPIs Experience working in sales at a retail media company with fast growing brands  Consistent historic performance of achieving sales quotas, while building strong client relationships  Understanding of both CPG and retail media media metrics to drive campaign performance

Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. This role is remote and the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. Please review our Flex First remote work policy here. Currently, we are only hiring in the following provinces: Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.

Offers may vary based on many factors, such as candidate experience and skills required for the role. This role also includes a Sales Incentive Plan. For Canadian based candidates, the base pay ranges for a successful candidate are listed below.
