Sales Finance Manager

As a Sales Finance Manager, you will own the topline financial planning for Snowflake and influence key decisions on sales strategy. You will provide several key inputs for corporate finance and sales strategy teams based on your analysis of financial data, forecasting of topline metrics and understanding of business drivers. You will surface insights to finance and sales leadership for strategic decision making. In this highly visible role, you will work closely with corporate FP&A, data science, sales strategy, field operations and sales leadership. This is an opportunity to drive the direction of a fast growing business and build a team as you scale.

This role requires in-person attendance in our San Mateo, CA office at least 3 days per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Establish and validate global and theater level topline sales targets

Influence the annual financial planning process with a view on capacity, affordability and theater level dynamics

Develop and maintain a sales capacity and efficiency model to guide decision making

Own quarterly forecasts on topline metrics through evaluation of pipeline and top deals

Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes

Influence key decision makers in Finance, Sales and Operations based on data driven analysis and strong understanding of business drivers

Provide inputs to long term corporate model based on short-term sales trends

Coordinate cross functionally with corporate FP&A, data science, sales strategy, field operations and sales leaders

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred

Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate finance and/or investment banking

Proven track record of financial modeling, planning and forecasting, particularly in sales

Strong business acumen and analytical thinking with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for senior management

Work effectively across cross functional teams on a day to day basis

Effective communication and presentation skills to be able to influence multiple stakeholders

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role: The estimated base salary range for this role is $131,000 - $182,700.Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
