The candidate shall be based in China, ideally in close proximity to one of the major AVIC or COMAC facilities. The role will be responsible for all HFS Aerospace products by developing and managing both new and existing accounts within a competitive and highly technical sales environment. The candidate shall work closely with HFS Suzhou manufacturing facility, supporting the commercial activities for direct sales to China domestic customers. Also, identify and assist in the capability development opportunities at HFS Suzhou, jointly build the business development plan and leverage the local advantages to win new business.
The candidate should be familiar with the Chinese Civil Aerospace Fasteners market and have a network established within the industry, including the key OEMs (AVIC, COMAC, Airbus, etc.) and aftermarket (airlines and MROs). While the market base is diverse, this role will primarily focus on growing market share and direct sales to the OEMs together with their key subcontractors; identify and promote sales via Howmet Aerospace Distribution (HAD).
Specific Responsibilities
Prioritize, develop & target new business opportunities in line with HFS strategy Identify, develop & sustain HFS accounts within China Provide intelligence on Chinese market and customers; support or conduct negotiations to successful outcome Manage effectively the expectations of the customers in coordination with HFS and HAD teams Coordinate with relevant functions to provide customers with technical & application training Develop & support the network of trading companies and distributors Drive the addition of new products and the modification/replacement of existing products within customer base via customer engagement In-person meetings on a quarterly basis (more as required) with key customers; other domestic travel, including attendance or hosting of trade shows as needed to develop business Assist with the development of sales, marketing and business plans, forecasts and promotional programs Implement relevant sales and promotional programs Ensure customers have up to date product information Compile & submit accurate sales forecasts in a timely manner Comply with all internal sales reporting in line with corporate expectations
