Description We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead and drive sales efforts for a manufacturing company based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role requires a dynamic individual who can manage a team, oversee strategic accounts, and identify new business opportunities to foster growth. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in sales leadership and a proven track record in technology-related industries.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of six sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to increase sales and expand into new markets.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target industries, including retail, manufacturing, and municipal accounts.
• Oversee key accounts, such as Meijer, ensuring growth and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with shared services teams to streamline processes and enhance sales efficiency.
• Monitor sales performance metrics and report progress to senior management.
• Conduct market research to identify potential customers and industry trends.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure profitable deals.
• Present sales strategies and results during regular team meetings.
• Transition from daily office presence to a hybrid schedule as the role progresses. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales leadership role.
• Proven expertise in B2B sales, including equipment and technology solutions.
• Strong background in managing sales teams and driving performance.
• Demonstrated success in business development and securing new accounts.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with industries such as retail, manufacturing, and technology.
• Ability to analyze sales data and develop actionable strategies.
