Job Description

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. NH Maldives Kuda Rah employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

Identify, target, and secure new business within the wholesaler market including travel agencies, tour operators, and travel advisors, in coordination with the Director of Sales.Support the planning and execution of strategic sales initiatives to increase bookings from key source markets.Negotiate contracts, annual rate agreements, and tactical promotions as required.Prepare and issue contracts and addendum in coordination with the Director of Sales, ensuring timely delivery and accurate tracking.Manage a portfolio of key accounts and contribute to team efforts to meet overall resort budget targets.Drive room night production and revenue growth to achieve monthly and annual sales objectives.Build and maintain strong relationships with tour operators, travel agents, and DMC partners.Conduct regular sales calls and provide training, updates, joint marketing opportunities, and last-minute availability alerts to travel partners.Ensure the accuracy and ongoing maintenance of the tour operator and travel agent database.Serve as the main point of contact for top-producing leisure accounts.Represent NH Kuda Rah at trade shows, roadshows, client events, and site inspections as needed.Coordinate FAM trips, media visits, and influencer collaborations to enhance brand visibility and showcase the resort experience.Collaborate with the marketing team to create packages and campaigns tailored to leisure traveler segments.Work closely with reservations, front office, revenue, and operations teams to align on availability, pricing, booking accuracy, and guest experience.Ensure group and leisure bookings are clearly communicated to resort operations for seamless execution.Monitor global travel trends, competitor activities, and seasonal demand patterns in the leisure segment to adjust sales strategies accordingly.Conduct competitor benchmarking at least twice per month.Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual sales reports, forecasts, and market insights, and track performance by partner, market, and account using PMS data.Provide timely sales updates and performance summaries to the Director of Sales.Address operational or client-related issues professionally, escalating through the Director of Sales when necessary.Recommend pricing strategies and tactical offers to optimize occupancy and revenue yield.Support departmental administrative tasks, including filing systems and sales documentation.Assist in cross-selling and upselling relevant Minor Hotels properties.Maintain strong knowledge of NH Kuda Rah offerings, promotions, and services, as well as competitor developments.Provide input on B2B promotional opportunities tailored to assigned accounts and markets.Maintain oversight on how NH Kuda Rah is represented on third-party channels (Cvent, Lanyon, and key wholesaler websites).Update CRM systems regularly and ensure all sales activities and client interactions are accurately recorded.Monitor and manage urgent partner requests through Cvent and Lanyon.Respond to RFPs from corporate clients and travel managers in a timely and professional manner.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism, or a related field.Minimum 2–4 years of experience in 5-star resorts sales, preferably within the leisure segment and Maldives destinations.Proven track record working with wholesalers, tour operators, travel agencies, and DMCs.Strong understanding of international travel patterns especially those relevant to the Maldives and distribution channels.Familiarity with PMS such as Opera Cloud and channel managers.Good command of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.Ability to conduct professional sales calls, virtual meetings, and in-person presentations.Results-driven, proactive, and self-motivated.Ability to live and work in a remote resort environment if required.Able to work independently while contributing to team objectives.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Trackable references to support the role applied for.
