Sales Manager
Start Date: Fall 2024Location: Austin, TX EF Educational Tours is looking for an entrepreneurial manager to lead a team of Tour Consultants in our Austin office, focusing on growing their educational travel programs.  As Sales Manager, you will both inspire and motivate your team—focusing on helping them craft their sales strategies, as well as helping facilitate their professional development. You will work closely with a Director of Sales or Senior Director of Sales to drive a strategy focused on identifying growth opportunities and maximizing investment. This will include creating initiatives around acquiring new schools, repeating schools, and growing travel programs within existing schools. A Sales Manager will engage in hiring top talent and developing them into innovative sales professionals who can run a healthy business.   The Sales Manager will ensure Tour Consultant success through teaching their direct reports the fundamentals of the role and coaching Tour Consultants to success in goal achievement.  Driving sales strategy. A Sales Manager will learn and understand trends of the market and work with the Director of Sales to implement a double-digit growth strategy.  This includes understanding education and economic trends within the market and helping Tour Consultants design a strategy for sustained growth in their respective markets.  The Sales Manager will collaborate with the Sales Leadership to understand the return on investments in each region.    Core Responsibilities:  Weekly one-on-ones with Tour Consultants to help them learn to dissect the qualitative and quantitative metrics needed to evolve through the Entrepreneurial Sales Development Program   Coaching on time management, results management, and how to use dashboards   Meet regularly with the Director of Sales and Sales Trainer to ensure a collaborative effort to develop staff and drive the business forward   Meet with the Director of Sales to better understand your strengths and areas of opportunity as a coach and strategic leader   Drive initiatives specific to market and team growth   Your Demonstrated Abilities…A minimum of 2+ years of ET sales experience with a record of sales success and goal achievement A minimum of 1-year team lead experience—proven track record of motivating the performance of others and playing a lead role on the team (leading team meetings, partnering with manager on team strategy, peer coaching, etc.)Success in building and executing an innovative sales strategy Strong analytical skills and ability to tell a story to motivate behaviorsExceptional presentation skills and confidence to engage with the various players in your marketProven success with difficult conversations and delivering constructive feedbackParticipation in Future Leaders Program or Sales Coach experience preferred.
