The Aggregates Sales Manager role is based in Sellersburg, IN and reports directly to the VP/GM.

The Aggregates Sales Manager will be responsible for the direct supervision and professional development of a sales team covering a territory that expands throughout the Midwest area.  This position will require extensive travel throughout the Area.

Responsibilities will include forecasting, planning, marketing, and selling assistance for all products in the market while focusing on growing existing and prospective customers to increase market share and improving profit margins.

What you’ll get to doLead, develop, and mentor the sales team to achieve annual objectives, spending ~50% of your time in the market coaching and motivating your team members.Develop and drive Market Management Plans, Customer Management Plans, and bid strategies and procedures.Collaborate with operations and quality teams to develop actions to meet industry standards.Target new accounts and cultivate existing customers to expand our presence in the market.Build relationships with key decision makers at existing and potential new customers.Review market conditions regularly and report on sales mix, prices, and volumes.Participate in sales forecasts and creating annual budgets and targets.Work with customers and our credit department to optimize accounts receivable.Represent the company within industry associations.Identify in tandem with Area Managers, strategic opportunities across all our lines of business.Essential Experience and SkillsAt least 7 years of Aggregates and/or Sand & Gravel experienceAt least 4 years of proven, successful sales experienceDemonstrated team leadership skills  Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft OfficeOutstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsExcellent time management and critical thinkingBachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or at least 7 years of sales experience in the construction materials industryPreferred Experience and SkillsAt least 3 years supervising others5 years in a management roleWork EnvironmentRole operates primarily a professional office environment but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.What we have to offerCompetitive base salary and participation in our annual incentive planHighly competitive benefits programs401k retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions
