Sales Manager at Four Points Barcelona Diagonal Based on-site in the hotel, this position is a vital part of our Sales team, since this segment has a significant weight in the hotel's results. The Sales Manager works closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to action enquiries and convert business. This position requires a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work unsupervised using own initiative. Monitoring and Follow up of Sales Strategies within the mentioned different segments, focusing on MICE and Special Corporate. The Sales Manager is required to solicit group & corporate business through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections. Conduct Site Inspections and organizes Familiarization Trips whilst assisting with projects and reports. Participate in daily departmental meeting, trainings and other sales related meetings as required. Works with other departments within the hotel and key contacts at Marriott International Global Sales Office locations to provide quality service to customers. Duties and responsibilities Proactively uncovering new prospects and maximizing conversion of business in line with the Hotel‘s budgetary goals. Responsible for MarRFP program and all contracting process. Attends trade shows and major market events to promote new business and increase sales opportunities for the hotel. Experienced in MICE & Corporate contracting will be valued Responsible for sending the daily reports, managing the communication and logistics between the different operations department. Response to quotes received by the department in a maximum of 24 hours, either by phone or e-mail. Execute the strategy with the DOSM, and support on forecast Handles all reservations aspects of a group. Room block monitoring, rooming lists, reporting pick up, VIP and upgraded accommodations, client communication relating to rooms reservations Maximize the revenue as per the Hotel’s objectives. Team player and flexible to assist with other tasks within the Banqueting Department as needed per operations Attend weekly BEO & GRC Meeting, and prepare the documents for coming groups. Provides exceptional high quality service and ensure client’s satisfaction. Perform Site Inspections for group or event requests. Make prospecting calls to find new clients. Updating in the Opera system of all contacts, room groups or events. SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES · Work experience: 2 years in Marriott company will be valued · Proven hotel sales experience valued · Languages: fluent English, fluent Spanish and other languages · Good organizational skills: has the ability to prioritize tasks and to manage the workload by her/his own initiative · Enjoys working as part of a team · Systems: Office package and knowledge of PMS Opera and Outlook will be valued.
