Sales Manager
The Sales Manager position reports to the Director of Sales and is responsible for the revenue performance of the team of Account Executives whose goal is to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets. To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of five (5) years of digital and/or Broadcast sales experience, a successful track record in business development, creating and selling sponsorships, growing market share, employee recruitment, retention, and sales training. This is not a desk job, you are expected to be out in the field daily with Account Executives training, coaching, and executing customer needs analysis, proposal solutions, and monthly business reviews. Responsibilities: + Provides leadership for the multi-media sales team. + Develops and executes sales strategies which result in exceeding revenue targets in local television, new business, and digital revenue. + Develops and cultivates client relationships alongside Account Executives. + Drives new business development. + Develops Advertising Packages. + Manages inventory and revenue forecasting. + Manage recruitment, training, evaluation, and development of sales professionals. + Prepares budgets and approves budget expenditures. + Makes decisions regarding hiring, evaluation, promotion and termination of employees. + Manage Accounts Receivable. + Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements & Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. + Minimum five years of Digital and Broadcast sales experience with Digital Sales Management experience a plus. + Fluency in English. + Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. + Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation. + Experience guiding, directing and motivating personnel; including setting and monitoring performance standards. + Experience establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them. + The ability to identify the developmental needs of others and to coach, mentor or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills. + Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, and other office equipment. + Experience with Wide Orbit Traffic, Matrix CRM, Nielsen and comScore research is preferred. #LI-Onsite Nexstar Media Group, Inc.
