Sales Manager - Grid Stability

About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has an excellent opportunity for a Sales Manager, Grid Stability. The position is responsible for business development and proposal activities for WEG’s synchronous condenser systems in the United States and Canada.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible and accountable for growth within the company's Power Systems - Grid Stability business area presently focused on synchronous condenser systems via effective engagement with all levels of customer stakeholders involved Grow and effectively manage the business opportunity pipeline Develop and deliver project-winning proposals Drive collaboration within the company to tailor equipment and solutions offerings to differentiate the company Strengthen and protect the company's local brand: investigate and participate in relevant conferences, open paths for technical papers, develop and deliver presentations at relevant industry events, develop and share success stories Continuously develop familiarity with competitor offerings and go-to-market strategies Engage and collaborate with the company's marketing team to develop and update marketing materials Develop local vendors / partners for auxiliary equipment and services where desirable and beneficial to the company Collaborate and communicate effectively with the company's sales and sales support structure Organize and manage effective meetings: sales presentations; opportunity kick-off meetings; design review meetings; and project kick-off meetings (internal and external) for smooth project handovers to project execution personnel Engage proactively as-needed during and after project execution: provide guidance to involved team members, assist in the resolution of technical and commercial matters, and support great project outcomes. Consistently mentors junior team members Embody WEG’s cultural beliefs: Think Customer, Drive Collaboration, Encourage Feedback, Create Solutions, Own our Key Results Other duties and tasks as assigned Up to 50% travel

Education: (minimum education or equivalent in relevant experience)

Bachelor’s degree

Field of Study if required: Engineering and/or business degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge / training:

Strong engineered sales, business development, and contract negotiation experience in relevant areas Experience with synchronous condenser systems and other grid stability systems is favorable. Effective relationship development and management Skilled in presentation and public speaking Timely and well-organized communicator Effective self-management Actionable familiarity with North American electric power markets, with a deep understanding of relevant industry trends, market dynamics, and clients

Experience:

5 years of related experience.
