Sales Manager México

The Sales Manager is responsible for actively soliciting new corporate group, incentive, social/wedding, consortia, wholesale, and luxury travel agency business for Thompson Zihuantanejo in Mexico and responding to inquiries with the intention of confirming profitable rooms and catering business while achieving annual sales goals.

Finalize the requirements of confirmed bookings while maximizing revenue potential through upselling and ensuring effective communication, both written and personal, with all departments for the success of the event, account, or agency.Plan and/or attend and/or participate in meetings with hotel staff and clients, including but not exclusive to: sales meetings, resume meetings (if applicable), sales meetings, pre-convention meetings (if applicable), menu tastings, and planning visits. This is a remote base sales position and may not be able to attend meetings at the resort. Video meetings may need to be arranged when necessary.Ensure the proper use of function space to maximize revenue potential when booking programs.Keep DOSM’s/Conference Services promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters so prompt corrective action can be taken where appropriate.Comply with Hyatt standards for sales and marketing while working harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and the planning committee. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities.Candidates must have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.Ability to negotiate and work under pressure.High level of creativity.Close and maintain an active trace/follow-up system in Envision-Hyatt sales tools on all inquiries and personal sales calls.Handles complex business with significant revenue potential as well as significant customer expectations.Use of Envision-Hyatt Sales tools to be utilized for all sales calls and client data to be entered on a timely basis in alignment with Hyatt standards.Travel is required. 15-25% of the role (including key events, trade shows, conventions, local market backyard sales calls, and site inspections, when necessary).Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.Develops relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for group, catering, wholesale, and luxury travel agency/sales opportunities.Executes exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the customer and ensuring their satisfaction before and during their program/event.Gains understanding of the property’s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues, and concerns to offer better business solutions both prior to and during the program/event.Building Successful Relationships with Clients and Hotel Staff.Works collaboratively with on- and off-property sales and operations channels (e.g., event planners, travel agents, decision makers, and hotel staff) to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary, and not duplicative.Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.Uses sales resources and administrative/support staff.Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposals, writing contracts, customer correspondence).
