If you’re a Sales Manager or looking to become one, we have an exciting opportunity for you. This position manages a group of Product Support Managers for military aftermarket services. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure product reliability, monitor fleet performance, develop product improvement plans and increase business to existing or new accounts. This is a customer-facing technical position that will work closely with the Military Services Sales team and the Military Product Technology Manager to evaluate varying product and service offerings to establish continual sales growth. This person can sit at one off our facilities in Rockford-IL, Niles-IL, Zeeland-MI, or Santa Clarita- CA.
What You Will Be Doing
Identifies and develops new strategic business opportunities with existing and/or new customers.Composes and executes opportunity win-strategy.Track product reliability and part replacement during repair processesWork closely with Sales Team when establishing Product Support Agreements for existing and new product opportunities.Provides input regarding customer needs to the demand forecasting process.Accountable for forecasting revenue for profit plan, LRP and quarterly forecast freeze.Accountable to overcome shortfalls to revenue forecast.Leads cross-functional teams through development and approval of proposals, including presentation to customer.Establishes proposal pricing strategies and cost targets.Develops the negotiation strategy for initial and renewal/extension contracts, agreements, terms and conditions in close collaboration with Contract Operations Managers.Gathers, communicates and develops strategies to take action in response to market intelligence.Supports PMO to ensure successful execution of new product introduction programs with specific focus on sustainment strategy of new products.Responsible for negotiating business agreement/terms sheet; working closely with Contracts Administration on remaining terms (eg - standard terms and conditions) of contract.Provides mentoring to other sales members (direct or indirect reports).
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Engineering preferred) or Business Discipline OR equivalent experience required3 years’ experience in a commercial role OR extensive Woodward product knowledge and demonstrated ability to effectively influence customers.5 years’ experience in a related industryThis position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
