As an important member of the Sales and Extended Czechia & Slovakia Leadership Team your key responsibility is to lead the Slovakia sales organization. You will be translating long term strategies into local annual plans and executions together with the Commercial Leadership Team. You will be accountable for providing people insights to drive organization and capability plans for the Sales organization in Slovakia; as well as partnering with the Marketing and Finance Team to ensure aligned and cohesive Customer and Channel Plans and Activities.
Meaningful Work From Day One
This is a role which requires a significant amount of influence both locally and within the Extended Leadership Team. The ability to navigate a matrix environment and champion the needs of B-F Czechia & Slovakia from an organization perspective is essential.
This position requires approximately 30% - 40% of time traveling.
What You Can Expect
Sales Leadership
- Supports the development of the business units strategic direction, business and portfolio strategies, special projects as necessary, and reports agreed-upon metrics to team and stakeholders
- Formulates mid-term and annual plans and activities based on long term strategy and portfolio prioritization
Team Manager and Development
- Provides strong leadership and direction to 2 direct reports and 5 indirect reports
- Works with a consistent approach on improving effectiveness and efficiency of the Slovakia sales Team
- Acts as a role model of B-F values and culture
- Leads a diverse and inclusive culture where different perspectives are encouraged and individuals feel connected and valued
- Identifies, in collaboration with HR, the organizational capability gaps and addresses them through appropriate learning and development programs
- Engages the Team in company’s visions and directions and motivates the Team to make active contribution in line with sales organization
- Supports the talent management and succession planning for the sales organization from a SK perspective
- Supports the definition of the commercial Team incentives in close collaboration with Head of Sales for CZ&SK, HR and the GM
Business Development
- Meets/exceeds annual volume, value & market share objectives of all brands across all channels for Slovakia
- Supports the CZ&SK Leadership Team on development of business and portfolio strategies, yearly budgets and monthly and quarterly projections, trade terms, price structures and profit margins
- (Re-) defines route to market structure in Slovakia and customer management
- Leads regular sales meetings and manages development of entire sales organization
- Represents and leads company in yearly negotiations with direct customers and supports customer negotiations together with the SK sales team
- Maximizes new business development opportunities
- Recommends actions to adapt to changes on a proactive basis
Strategic Guidance
- Provides leadership to the SK sales Team via strategic analysis, program development and resource management
- Helps to communicate the company vision and strategies and manages the performance and development of the SK Sales Team
- Supports the annual sales forecast and the monthly forecast; providing analysis and explanations for variances vs. budget and previous projections by channel, customer and by brand for Slovakia. Identifies upsides and downsides to the projection to identify and understand key performance risks
- Plans, allocates and evaluates work carried out by Sk Sales Team
Business Analytics & Insights
- Improves quality of strategic operating planning via in-depth ongoing analysis of market trends and identification of company/brand’s strengths and weaknesses
- Manages the company’s sales planning, controlling of discounts spending and sales results, reporting and budgeting requirements and processes
- Assumes overall responsibility for daily sales issues, selling process and successful money collection, distribution level, pricing, execution of brand building activities, sales analysis and projections
- Keeps company informed of key competitive activities, changing business, political or market conditions
- Provides Leadership Team with regular business status reports on monthly basis, with detailed brand/channel reports on quarterly basis and with other reports as necessary
- Manages evaluation of performance/effectiveness of sales initiatives and brand building activities executed in both markets
What You Bring to the Table
- Fluent Czech or Slovak, advanced in English both spoken and written
- Good analytical skills, commercially savvy and solution focused to solving problems
- Excellent communication skills: influencing, listening, presentations, written
- Ability to identify issues and projects, plan and prioritize with demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects to completion by specific deadlines
- Strong business acumen and judgment along with strategic capabilities
- Ability to build strong relationships at all levels with strong stakeholder awareness
- Collaborative team player, with conflict management skills
- Adaptable, flexible and resilient
- IT literate - MS Office applications & Google applications
