Position Purpose:
The Marketing Analyst conducts marketing and competitive research analysis in support of Veolia North America’s strategy and growth initiatives. Part of Veolia’s North American Marketing & Communications team, this position supports cross-business unit activities such as vertical market analysis, market planning and development, and internal reporting.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Gathers, reviews and/or analyzes market and customer data to create marketing plans and reports for sales and senior leadership.Identifies trends and opportunities affecting Veolia’s business.Conducts research and analysis of existing or new product offerings and/or vertical markets.Supports market segmentation and go-to-market strategy development.Supports customer intelligence and benchmarking efforts.Writes and produces a variety of reports and presentations for senior leadership.Summarizes data and findings in compelling infographics.Keeps up to speed on key competitors and conditions in the markets served.Helps ensure sales and business development teams are equipped with timely industry research and strategy to identify qualified leads and accelerate the sales cycle.Measures the effectiveness of marketing activities using analytics available in Salesforce and/or other appropriate and available tools, ensuring all leads generated through marketing activities are captured in Salesforce.Helps manage a variety of subscription-based data services, including service agreements and user access.Partners with others in Marketing & Communications on sales messaging and collateral.Supports best-practice sharing across business lines.Supports global marketing initiatives.Ensures all materials are produced in compliance with company brand standards.Supports other Marketing & Communications team members, projects, and initiative.Performs other duties as required.QualificationsEducation/Experience/Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field required.Advanced degree in a relevant field a plus.3+ years of marketing experience in B2B or B2C environment with an emphasis in marketing and sales support.Experience in related industry or market preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Collaborative and creative team player with drive for innovation and continuous improvement of systems, processes, and tools.Self-starter with strong organization, project management, time management, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.Familiar with Salesforce or other client relationship management software.Familiar with graphic design software and a keen eye for how to present data visually.Proven mentoring, coaching, and leadership abilities.Build excellent working relationships with colleagues at all levels.Successfully works on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.Synthesizes and integrates large amounts of data into concise, compelling deliverables.Pays close attention to detail and take pride in work products.Uses discretion in handling confidential or sensitive business information or issues.Willing to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.Physical Requirements:
