Sales Operations Analyst - Indirect

Trimble AECO is looking for a highly motivated, cross-functional Sales Operations Analyst to support our Indirect/Channel business. The right candidate has a proven track record of success in collecting, analyzing and interpreting sales data to identify trends, outliers and opportunities for growth.  This role will provide actionable insights to improve our channel sales strategies and inform business decisions by building reports and forecasts based on the market trends and customer behavior.  We seek candidates with broad technical skills, strong financial acumen, and sales analytic software experience. The role will assist Revenue stakeholders in creating efficiency, assessing performance, and reporting & delivering results. This role will work very closely with the Indirect/Channel Sales leadership teams and internal indirect/channel sales teams.

 

What You Will Do:

This role will provide actionable insights to improve our channel sales strategies and inform business decisions by building reports and forecasts based on the market trends and customer behavior.  We seek candidates with broad technical skills, strong financial acumen, and sales analytic software experience. The role will assist Revenue stakeholders in creating efficiency, assessing performance, and reporting & delivering results. This role will work very closely with the Indirect/Channel Sales leadership teams and internal indirect/channel sales teams.

Data Collection and Analysis: Gather sales data from various sources like Salesforce.com, Impartner PRM, Domo, and other systems to analyze sales performance, identify trends and pinpoint areas of opportunity.

Sales Forecasting: Utilize current pipeline as well as historical data to predict future sales trends and help develop accurate sales forecasts.

Reporting and visualization: Create comprehensive reports and dashboards in partnership with the Sales Operations BI team to present key insights to stakeholders clearly.

Analysis: Analyzes data to understand the health of the sales funnel, sales patterns, gaps, and areas for improvement.

Sales Tools Automation: Automate processes to make the Sales Operations team and sales teams more efficient. Focuses on driving sales rather than on manual tasks

Cross-functional player: As part of the Sales Operations group, partner with other Revenue supporting teams as needed (i.e. Enablement, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Product)

Documentation:  Creation and management of all Indirect Sales Process documents, including rules of engagement, policies, and internal processes. Drive and partner with internal cross-functional teams to create, record, approve, and communicate sales policies and procedures.

Sales Strategy:  Collaborate with sales leaders to develop and implement sales strategies based on data driven insights.

Sales Enablement Support:  Partner with the Indirect Sales Enablement team to provide data driven insights to support sales enablement.

Executive Presence: Prepare and present executive summaries to sales leadership on a recurring basis

Annual Planning:  Contribute to the annual planning process of the AECO Sales organization.

Ability to manage change and expectations through a matrixed environment

 

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with a focus of Finance, Accounting, Business or Marketing

Minimum of 2 years experience in Sales Operations with a focus on indirect sales and analytics in a fast-paced tech environment

Demonstrated ability to design and implement compensation strategies across direct, indirect, and eCommerce channels.

Proficiency in Salesforce.com, Google Suite, Excel, Domo, or Tableau preferred 

Strong analytical, written and verbal communication with a professional presence

Excels at managing multiple projects and shifting demands and finds joy in it. Works cross-functionally with ease. Excited to build something great!
