This position is 100% onsite at our Bohemia, NY office.
The salary range for this position is between $110,000 and $125,000 and will depend upon experience.
This position requires a U.S. Person or a person who can qualify for a Department of State or Department of Commerce License.
Position Summary
The Sales Operations Manager (SOM) plays a critical role in driving the efficiency and success of DDC-s sales team, ensuring profitable growth and an improved customer experience. The SOM partners closely with Business Unit Teams to increase customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention while reinforcing a culture of urgency, accountability, and ethical business practices. This role is responsible for establishing key performance metrics, optimizing sales processes, and improving sales tools to enhance customer interactions and overall business performance.
Key Position Accountabilities:
+ Sales Process & Pipeline Management:
+ Lead all sales operations, including process improvements, tracking, and continuous enhancement efforts.
+ Drive accountability across the sales team by planning, forecasting, and tracking key performance metrics.
+ Monitor and optimize the volume and quality of the bookings pipeline to drive profitable new business.
+ Performance & Metrics:
+ Establish and track critical sales performance indicators, including:
+ Bookings
+ Sales performance
+ Time in Territory
+ Communicate monthly and quarterly progress to Business Unit Managers and the VP of Sales.
+ Oversee and ensure timely updates in tools such as CRM and SIOP.
+ Customer Experience & Competitive Intelligence:
+ Enhance customer service processes, improving ease of doing business and customer satisfaction.
+ Gather and document competitive intelligence in collaboration with Business Unit Teams.
+ Strategic & Pricing Initiatives:
+ Develop and implement pricing strategies that improve profitability.
+ Identify opportunities for productivity improvements by streamlining procedures and clarifying team roles.
+ Compliance & Continuous Improvement:
+ Ensure adherence to the DDC Code of Business Conduct, Ethics, Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) policies, and company standards.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
+ Required:
+ Bachelor's degree in marketing, promotions, advertising, communications, or a related field.
+ 3-5 years of B2B technical sales experience, preferably in aerospace or a related industry.

+ Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive initiatives independently.
+ Sales and/or sales leadership experience with a results-driven approach.
+ Solution-oriented problem solver with the ability to address customer concerns effectively.
+ Detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities.
+ Strong analytical skills for sales forecasting and performance tracking.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
+ This role operates in a professional office environment with standard office equipment.
+ Some travel required (15%-25%) based on customer needs.
+ Tasks involve light physical effort, including lifting/carrying materials (5-10 lbs.) and extended periods at a workstation.
