Sales Player/Manager

About the Role: 

The role requires an understanding of successful Team Management, Account Management and Business Development within large strategic accounts with a focus on delivering data and information solutions. You will own a small account base directly and manage a small team. 

As a manager, your role is to support and guide your fellow sales team members. This involves sharing your knowledge and experience, providing feedback and advice, coaching and mentoring, helping them identify areas for improvement and assisting them in developing effective sales strategies. You should foster a collaborative and supportive environment, motivate, and inspire your team, and help them reach their sales targets. 

As a Player, you are responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with clients, understanding their needs, addressing any concerns or issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. To act as the main point of contact for clients, work to build long-term partnerships, implement and execute the strategic business plan that expands our revenue and ensures LNRS’ strong presence within your client portfolio. 

​Key Responsibilities: 

To effectively meet, and exceed, sales targets as set by the Sales Director 

Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully coaching and managing the sales team which will include Account Managers and New Business Individual Contributors 

Own revenue target, objectives setting, coaching and performance for your team 

Strong sales and opportunity management skills across the full sales cycle 

Analyse impact of industry trends on client base’s strategy and objectives 

Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status 

Present sales, revenue and associated reports and realistic forecasts to the management team 

Contribute to the overall success of the sales team and help create a culture of continuous learning and development 

Requirements: 

Proactive, self-motivated, and accountable with the aim of always driving positive client satisfaction.  

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability, and track record, to interpret and present complex concepts 

Able to operate with a consultative approach 

Track record of engaging stakeholders within Strategic clients, with existing and new relationships, that can be leveraged to attain a deeper level of Insight and Knowledge across multiple touch points in the customer’s organisation  

Strong sales and opportunity management skills across the full sales cycle 

Willingness to travel.
