Sales Principal Specialistob Description Summary
Identify and develop new business opportunities within a specified geographic territory and/or customer segment (Medium deals).
Common Accountabilities
Proficient in technical knowledge to ensure the team performs at a high level. Recognized as a leader in their area and may formally train Specialists/Senior Specialists.
Understands the impact of main business drivers on their area. Can assess complex problems with broad impact on the activity, improve processes, recommend solutions, and risk mitigation plans. Able to communicate complex information.
Works with a high level of autonomy, based on management directions. Leads projects or contributes to broad cross-functional projects. May contribute to planning of resources and budget.
Specific Accountabilities
Participate in the preparation of the long-term plan, including sales forecasts and solutions based on customer feedback, and define the sales plan.
Identify and qualify business opportunities by establishing and developing relationships with senior leaders, and submit business proposals based on customers' specific needs.
Coordinate and follow up on RFP/RFI responses, and manage negotiations to closure.
Promote and sell products, services, and solutions through direct contacts, events, and road shows, and deliver sales presentations to senior management.
Actively participate in overall marketing activities and programs, contribute to marketing intelligence, and perform market and competitor analysis.
Requirements
B2B sales experience ( preferred ) with record of exceeding sales targets and selling to senior executives.
Expertise in software sales with the ability to create and develop effective sales strategies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills along with strong negotiation and closing skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Willingness to travel as needed and stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
