About the Role

Support the Head of Sales and Product Compliance to ensure that AIAHK & Macau operates in accordance with the AIA Group policies and guidelines and local regulatory requirements in the following SME areas and towards this end, driving and supervising implementation of compliance framework.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Assist Head of Sales and Product Compliance to develop Compliance Framework

Develop controls and supervising framework to identify, oversees, and mitigate the riskEngage key collaborators to implement the compliance frameworkReview the efficiency of the compliance framework to mitigate the compliance risk and continues to improve the framework

Review of Product and Marketing materials

Arrange the product and marketing materials reviewAssist in developing the review standards and requirements to ensure the review quality are standardize among the sales compliance teamReview the materials including sales materials and all types of products, services and distribution channels.Identify systemic issues on related materials and initiate vital actions to improve the quality and embed the knowledge in 1st lineCompliance review on SME areas

Review of communication correspondence with regulators

Review communication correspondence directly and/or indirectly with regulators including those correspondences copied to regulators on complaint related or other Sales & Product related areas.Ensure the in-scope regulatory correspondence are handled according to the company protocol and raise to management team for any key enquiry or communication with regulators

Supervise the compliance of complaint management

Supervise the compliance of complaint handling and complaint management to ensure the Treating Customer Fairly (TCF) principle is applied

Supervise the Group standard and regulatory requirement implemented under sales and product compliance

Supervise the implementation and compliance of the requirement related to sales and product compliance areasProvide compliance advice to first line and conduct assurance program to ensure the requirements are aligned with Group standard

Other tasks

Assist Head of Sales and Product Compliance on other sales compliance tasks e.g. risk assessment paper review, projects and other reportsBackup roles of other teammates

Minimum Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or Business with a minimum of 15 years proven working experience in the financial services industry passionate about compliance, legal and/or internal controlsProfessional qualification in Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit or related disciplines is preferredRegulatory compliance experience in insurance or banking industry is preferredExperience with regulators is an advantageIn-depth understanding of insurance business is preferredGood interpersonal and communication skills and self-motivatedExcellent written and spoken communication skills in English and ChineseIndependent and be able to work under pressureBe organized, meticulous and with good problem solving skillsHigh level of integrity and take ownership and accountability of results
