As a Sales Project Engineer (also known as a Sales Application Engineer) at Rotex, you will join a global leader in industrial screening and separation equipment headquartered in Cincinnati, OH. This is a sales-focused role that combines technical expertise with strategic sales skills to deliver customized equipment solutions for our clients in manufacturing and industrial markets. What You’ll Do:
Sales & Business Development:
Actively drive the sales of Rotex industrial processing equipment in assigned territories and market segments globally, analyze customer needs, and select suitable equipment based on research and laboratory testingDevelop and implement action plans to protect/build market share, assist in sales forecasting, and support the Sales Manager in the development and maintenance of marketing plans.Customer Engagement:
Analyze customer processing needs, deliver tailored recommendations, and guide them through the equipment selection process.Prepare and present compelling technical proposals that demonstrate the value of Rotex equipment for their operations.Technical Sales Support:
Conduct material testing to validate equipment performance and ensure customer requirements are met.Partner with the engineering and production teams to provide customized solutions that align with customer goals.Support the Aftermarket Sales team by promoting replacement parts, upgrades, and additional services.Travel & Field Presence:
Travel domestically and internationally (25-50%) to engage with clients, conduct site visits, and support sales activities.Represent Rotex at industry events, trade shows, and customer sites as a trusted sales and technical advisor.Who You Are:
You’re a dynamic and persuasive sales professional and you excel in customer engagement. In addition, you posses the following experience, skills and abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering field (or equivalent education and experience).2+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or a related role in manufacturing or industrial equipment.A deep technical and mechanical aptitude for understanding product functionality, and use.Proficiency with ERP systems; familiarity with AutoCAD and Great Plains ERP preferred.Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.Proven success in achieving or exceeding sales targets.Why Join Rotex?
