Schwab Advisor Services, the industry leader of custodial, operational, trading, product, and technology solutions for independent fee-based investment advisors (RIAs) is seeking an enthusiastic, results-driven individual to serve as a Relationship Manager, AS Centralized Relationship Management.

The ideal candidate will cultivate and nurture relationships with our advisors while actively pursuing opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability, focusing on growth and retention. As a Relationship Manager, you will effectively coordinate with Service, Marketing, Business Consulting, and other key partners across the organization to proactively anticipate client needs and resolve situations as they occur. You will influence positive change in their organizations to support their evolving needs, as well as present policy changes, negotiate pricing, conduct business reviews, and organize client events. As the main point of contact for your assigned clients, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining meaningful relationships while positively representing Schwab’s brand and values.
We are seeking a Relationship Manager to support Registered Investment Advisors as they grow, compete, and succeed.You must demonstrate the ability to build lasting relationships with your team, your advisor clients, internal and external partners, and have strong knowledge of Schwab resources, products, and services or transferrable experience working within the RIA industry.You are consultative; you will serve as a thought partner to our advisors. To be successful, you must be proactive and have good listening skills to understand advisor needs and requests, promptly identify internal partners to solve problems, proactively deliver relevant resources and ensure advisor satisfaction.You are business focused - you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and winning new assets and revenue opportunities. Active and valid FINRA Series 7 license requiredActive and valid FINRA Series 63 license requiredAt least 5 years of financial services industry and RIA relationship management experienceIn-depth knowledge of Advisor Services offering. Absent that, you have transferable brokerage industry knowledge and/or the ability to learn the products and services with a limited learning curve. Knowledge of all aspects of the RIA industry including technology, operations, practice management, compliance, competitive landscapeYou are a team playerDrive - you demonstrate ability to deliver excellent client service and sales resultsInitiative and curiosity – proactively seek to understand overall relationship scope and identify opportunitiesResourcefulness – anticipate, research, address and resolve problemsSuperior communication, presentation, interpersonal and listening skillsExcellent conflict resolution, problem-solving, people skills and a strong work ethicAdaptability – you are process driven and have time management skills to navigate a dynamic environmentPreferred Qualifications:
