 “A Day in the Life”

Sales representatives are responsible for developing strategies and tactics for identifying, pursuing and closing opportunities for renting and selling modular buildings across a variety of industry segments.  This position requires new business generation, attention to detail, building customer relationships and working collaboratively, across the organization to provide accurate estimates, execute the project and make sure we do things right the first time, every time.

 

“What You’ll Do”

Develop new and grow existing business to increase profits for the regionIncrease market share in established markets, as well as new marketsDevelop and execute plan on selling to education business-to-business accounts Assist in the development of marketing plans to support sales activitiesDevelop strong relationship with manufacturers of modular buildings, as well as sub-contractors for transportation, installation and serviceCollaborate with other sales team members, operations. Project managers, and the inventory center staff to provide solutions to customersFollow established processes in sales and implementation of the projectCoordinate with various departments to ensure customer requests are met and projects are delivered on timeMaintain accurate records in the division’s database on customer quotes, sales contacts, activities, specifications and special requestsDevelop relationships with architects, construction management organizations, school administrators and various networking organizations and industry associationsAchieve/exceed monthly and quarterly sales related quotas and goals

 

“Must Haves”

Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate ideas in verbal, email and other written formatsConfident, assertive and quick-thinkingProficiency with various computer programs including Word, Excel, Dodge, Internet and other customer databasesDemonstrated inter-personal skills, customer service, attention to detail and organizational skillsEffective negotiation skillsDemonstrated experience working in a process driven environmentThe ability to make decisions within established guidelinesDemonstrated skills in project and time managementBS/BA/BBA degree or equivalent years of sales experience3 or more years’ experience in sales or a sales role in the rental industry; results drivenPrior experience with heavy customer focus or team-based environmentPrior experience in modular building industry, construction, public and private education, or other related industries is preferred

 

Special Considerations:

Some local and multi-state overnight travel or travel out of state for sales meetings and training

 

Location of Position:

Northern California. Ideally, a representative would reside in the Bay Area.

 

The specific pay rate and level, if applicable, will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications, prior experience and location.
